The last bits of Grey Knight codex review

The Grey Knights have the standard two Astartes dedicated transport options we all know and love. They also can have access to a third dedicated transport, if they take the right unit.

The humble Rhino and Razorback transports should all be widely known to everyone. They are a tiny bit different for the Grey Knights. First they each cost +5 points more than for regular Astartes forces. They also have the Aegis, like all Grey Knights. They also have the psychic pilot that all the Grey Knight vehicles come with. That means they have the psy power Fortitude as well. This extra gear and cool psy power make these a steal at only +5 extra points.

These two vehicles can access all the same vehicle equipment except one item. They can take: a searchlight +1, dozer blade, +5 psybolt ammo, +5 hunter killer missile +10, storm bolter +10, extra armor +15, warp stabilization field +5 and truesilver armor +10 points (what truesilver & warp stable do here). Now the Razorback can take psyflame ammo for +5 points if it swaps weapons. I’ll get to that in a second.
Razorbacks for the Knights can have all the typical weapon swaps for the heavy bolter: a twin linked heavy flamer +25, twin linked assault cannon +35, twin linked lascannon +35, or a plasma gun/lascannon +35 points. Now this is where the psyflame ammo can be used, but seriously who is taking that gun option?
Then there is the Chimera transport option. This can be accessed by Henchman Warbands. It is the same vehicle that the Imperial Guard can take. It has BS 3 front armor 12, side and rear armor 10, can hold 12 models, has smoke launchers, can have five guys shoot out the top, is amphibious and is armed with a hull heavy bolter and a turreted multi-laser. This costs 15 points more than the Grey Knight Rhino.
It can take the same upgrades at the same points cost as the Rhino, except for the psybolt ammo. It can also swap the hull heavy bolter for a heavy flamer for free. It may also swap the multi-laser for a heavy bolter or heavy flamer for free.
The Rhino and Razorback are what they are. They are just a bit better. Having Fortitude is great as it is extra armor for a lot cheaper. Sure you have to roll for it and it can be negated, so that can be of some minor concern. Psybolt ammo is stupid cheap so a boring heavy bolter Razorback now looks sexy!
The Chimera is great since it has that delicious armor 12 front and can hold more guys. You just need to keep everyone away from the side armor since it is paper thin. It can also be hijacked by Grey Knights if needed/ wanted. It can also be a descent mobile anti-troop pill box with dual heavy bolters or heavy flamers. It could also be a nice bunker for a squad of 3+ laser monkeys to shoot out the top.
