Days of the Dead 2015 convention!

Days of the Dead 2015 in Indianapolis. Our first horror convention ever.

We went in not knowing what to expect. By the time we left we had had a damn good time. We grabbed some merch, some photos, met some people and actors from our favorite horror flicks.

"Howdy Folks! You like blood? Violence? Freaks of nature? Well then, come on down to Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Mad-Men. See the Alligator Boy, ride my famous Murder Ride. Most of all, don't forget to take home some of my tasty fried chicken! Ha ha! It just tastes so damn good! "

Holy crap we met Sid Haig! Captain Spaulding!
I just wish I could have asked him a bunch of jackassy questions.

Know Angus Scrim is the Tall Man. He will always be known to me as this.

Saturday we met him and sure is is really old now, but he is still doing the convention circuit, meeting fans. Super awesome!

Tony Moran the original Michael Myers. He was really cool and friendly. he chatted, posed and signed for us. Was great meeting him!

The rando Halloween comic we thought had a good cover that Tony Moran signed for us.
Dude was a class act! He didn't need to chat us up but he did. How awesome is that?

We grabbed the four celebs we really wanted.  Also in attendance was: Jordan Ladd, PJ Soles, Felissa Rose (and her chest), Tobin Bell, Bill Mosley, Joe Bob Briggs, John Kassir, John Amplas,  Imogene Boorman, Meredith Salenger, Jack Noseworhty. and finally...Ric Flair! Wait what was Ric Flair doing there? I desperatly wanted to give him a series of chops and then hit him with a folding steel chair!

No convention is complete without costume people!

The Phantom from The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

Leatherface

"Blessed be our New Founding Fathers for letting us Purge and cleanse our souls.
Blessed be America, a nation reborn."

Darth Vader and Sith and some demon monster?
What is going on here?

The alien queen has broken loose, and bought some sweet pumps!

Michael Myers has found his prey

The real insane clown posse?
By the gods why did I type that?

I'm about to get my spine and skull removed.
These were great costumes. The shoulder gun lit up. They even had the wrist count down bomb device and it was working.

"Loonies up in Togus!"

Merch!

Coasters? Why did I buy coaster? Well they are Hellraiser puzzle box coasters!
Plus they match....

.....the new Hellraiser end table!

Scream For Me Inc. has this stuff and more. Check them out for some cool horror stuff!

Our fridge needed new magnets!

Also from the people that made the coasters and table, they also make sweet phone cases!

Grabbed some new artwork to hang.

The artist seemed like a good guy and I was a huge fan of the Elvira piece.
Becky loved the King o' the Mountain since it had all "her boys" on it.

The rando comic that we had Kane Hodder sign. So we got Jason and Michael to sign books for us. I guess she is going to use them in some scrapbook type device for us.

After all was said and done it was a really damn good time. There was a ton of cool stuff to see. A lot of super horror fans. Way too many stuff to photo. I spent more time looking than grabbing pics. If there was a down side it was the size of the venue. If it was just a bit larger. The halls were very crowed, but at least the rooms were large enough to navigate easily. That is the only issue. The staff was friendly. The attendees were all laid back, not smelly and polite. The celebes were all laid back and chatted it up with the crowd of horror nerds. It was just a really chill environment for a convention based around murder, death, monsters and buckets of blood.

We are definitely going to try and hit this again next year.
