A non 6th edition post

Yeah there are a few posts out that are not about 6th edition.
This picture is hardly anywhere, but it show the last two Necron models in the range. Holy crap! the entire Necron range is soon to be complete, and within 6-7 months of the codex release. How is this possible? Also why have they not done this with every codex prior?

It is blurry, but there are the last two HQ choices. They look descent, but I think they are drek when it comes to rules. This is not uncommon to have a descent to stellar model and crummy rules for the game. I am suprised they didn't make an empowered Orikan model.

I would think about grabbing them if it wasn't for the Finecast stuff. I recently picked up a Illuminor Szeras and Obyron recently. I have been hot with the Finecast failure now, much like everyone else. Obyron had a few small bubbles that filled easily.

Szeras on the other hand was a bit of a mess. His left arm had two huge holes, bubbles doesn't describe the size properly. His staff was not only crazy bent but the sprue it was on was almost entirely filled in with a thin layer of non-resin resin (or whatever Finecast is made of). This was a problem not only cutting the staff and arm out while trying to remove filler/flash as well. The head of his staff had several little prongs (or whatever the staff bits are called) snap off while being removed. I also failed to straighten the staff, so it has a minor bendy look to it. After the failed attempt to carefully remove and save the staff, I found a simple conversion was easier. He was going to be a nameless Lord or Cryptek anyway. A simple arm swap and Szeras looks a bit different, but is still usable.

I will have a difficult time ever wanting to purchase another Finecast product. Especially either of the pictured models. I can see more bendy weapons and a staff head that is just ripe for prong snappage.
