6th edition, the non-truths

Let us take a quick moment to look at what was confirmed true and looks to be false.  These are the few that I was told about and found very unbelievable, but the masses thought differently.

·         The leaked PDF ,which was confirmed false, had many believers that is was the true 6^th

·         Move, Assault, Shoot (who really truly believed this?)

·         Psychic Phase (once again rumored for another new edition as it always is)

·         Assault after Deep Strike

·         Multiple levels of Feel No Pain, Instant Death and Eternal Warrior

·         Movement= foot 6”, cavalry 7”, bikes 8” and charge is double the movement range

·         Percentages used to build your army like fantasy

·         Pistol weapon strength used as close combat attack

·         Rapid fire weapons have 2 shots if move or 2 shots at half range

Yes there were dozens and dozens more, but these are my favorites. It seems that these are all bunk as are a bunch of the other pre-6^th rumors. Everything post the White Dwarf can be considered pretty reliable, but before that?  It is hearsay at the best of times and a lot of crap the rest of the time.

When did we all become children who have to know what they are getting for X-mas before the gifts are unwrapped? This is how I see the 40K community. We have to know what is in a book before we have a copy in our hands. Why is that? Why not just wait and enjoy (or hate) the suprise? Just me I guess, since I am probably one of like two or three people who have dodged the rumor mill for as long as possible. They still always get you in the end though don't they.

He knows not of the rumors!  (insert creepy howl)

Anyway, 6^th edition is here in a day so all will be revealed then. Until tomorrow fraking relax! There will be oodles of info out there for the next few weeks and for another four years to come. Grab a book then or wait for a downloadable copy. Either way, take a deep breath. The truth will be here soon……..
