There are two games that are the sweetest, winning the championship and wining the first game of the season. Hell, I think winning the first game might be more important. It sets a small tone and kills all that build up that has been going on since the end of last season. That is what Denver did last night and it was a relief for me. Plus they put Ben "I touch girls in public bathrooms" Roethlisberger in his place again.
Yes the nest 20 weeks are my favorite time of year, football season! I don't care if it high school college or pro, it is all awesome!
Hell even the Bears looked like world beaters again yesterday. RG III had, maybe the best ever, a great rookie QB start and he is my go to for rookie of the year and I still think the best QB from this years draft.
Even shitty Tony Romo looked like a champion in his first outing. It also helped that NY had never seen a slant pattern before. What the frak 2011 World Champions?! Yesterday was a great Sunday and there are still 15 more regular games to play!
College is no sleeper this year either. Alabama made a statement week one by trouncing Michigan. The hated USC Trojans are playing well, those a-holes! Notre Dame is also putting together a descent offense and hopefully they will not falter vs. Michigan State Saturday!
Here is to another year of weekend bliss for me and every other football fan out there! Also if there is any real justice in the universe then a meteor will hit the stadium tonite during the Chargers and Raiders game!
