Star Wars exhibit Saturday

This is running ant the Indiana State Museum this summer, and I had to go. This was a really cool exhibit. Seeing all the costumes and props was fun. The best stuff was the models. A a guy who likes to build and paint "toys" they were amazing to see up close.

My ideal weapons locker!
(Well lose the Naboo blaster)

A selection of Hoth based costumes and props.

Luke's robotic hand prop looks terrible off screen.
Plus! Lobots head gear! YEAH! LOBOT'S HEAD GEAR!! Wait...who really cares about that?

"Get him Mr. Smothers!"
Thank you Lew for that story and phrase

Wookiee feet!

Joe? Is that you?

The actual landspeeder

The model used and the $6 Million Man is riding shotgun. Guess they couldn't find an Obi-wan doll.

A series of vehicle models.

The Phantom Menace droid tank was surprisingly large. Even from a lame movie, it is a cool vehicle.

The Vader Helmet display was really cool and would look great in my living room!

What I thought the Falcon model would look like. This is the little model.
The actual model is frakin' huge and awesome!

The amount of detail was just amazing! The battle damage is so cool to see. Hell, even the part Han and Chewie were working on in the Hoth base can be seen. That is just so cool!

Finally the original Yoda. Holy crap it looked great. I was amazed of the shape of this guy.Figured he would have fallen apart like Jabba did.

There was more costume stuff and some actual learning/science stuff, but that is for sucks! I wants to see me some Star Wars stuff, not  learn. Education isn't fun, it is a necessary thing. but don't try to fun it up for the kids. I know they have to, or this would just be a Planet Hollywood type exhibit.

For the normies, cynics  or casual fans of the Star Wars universe I wouldn't say this is a must. For the die hard fans, modelers and gamers check this out, if you are in the Indianapolis region.
