Keeper of the Lost

Since his acquisition of a Warp forged artifact, Bother Sergeant Gavor has taken over a new mantle, Keeper of the Lost.



During the 13th Black Crusade, the Night Lords under brother Captain Hargrev fought alongside the Word Bearers chapter. Having a distaste for the Warp, there was a small physical incident between Brother Sergeant Gavor and a Dark Apostle. Gavor killed the Apostle and took his weapon as a  trophy.

The weapon, an accursed Crozius, caused him horrible pain as he picked it up. He had noticed during their brief fight, that the Apostle was wielding the weapon bare handed. Gavor removed and skinned his fallen opponents left hand. He had a few slaves sow the flesh into a wearable gauntlet. The tattoos in the flesh continue to write, erase and re-write themselves and the gauntlet has never stopped weeping blood. The used and appearance of this has made Gavor an outcast among his battle brothers.

However,with his Chaos infused glove of flesh, Gavor is able to hold and wield this weapon. It has granted him protection far and above what his power armor could in battle. However, weapon is warp forged and has altered Gavor's ability to check his rage. He is known to fly into a battle lust that often takes his fellow brothers with him.

Gavor has since be re-tasked for commanding a Claw, to leading "The Lost." The Lost are battle brothers that have succumbed to the combat drugs they have been taking. Their strength and resiliency are both dramatically increased, and they show no fear. However, they have also lost discipline and cognitive thought, they often charge into combats they can't win, run into traps laid by the enemy and never withdraw (when it is tactial).  They have lost their ability to function tactically in battle. 

Gavor has been tasked with leading these drug fueled crazies into battle. He has since painted his helmet terror markings red. His moniker upon the field is the "Red Death." As he brings the rage of his brethren to bear on the enemy before them.

Gavor is my counts as Chaplain. I needed some story to explain why he is using warp stuff. Night Lords are evil, but not super warp filled Chaos charged demon-ish evil.

If I ever want Death Company , "The Lost", I'll be adding him to the squad to buff their combat and keep their rage in check.

A slight modification on a Chaos knight weapon and we  have an Accursed Crozious. The leather glove was painted to be skin, with tattoo-sh writing/runes and some drippy/smeared blood.
