Gen Con 50 museum stuff

I thought this little "museum" of gaming history was kind of cool.
It was a little showcase of gaming through the ages and a rough history of  Gen Con.

However, seeing some of the games displayed made me feel old and drug up a lot of nostalgia.

Not sure who this sleepy guy is, but it he is huge.

Ah the original books. I didn't have 1st editions, but I had all of these to use for a while.

The terrible and yet somewhat awesome artwork for the early books.

Oh the big red box! Where all elves were full of spells.
Even better the blue box! Here racial level caps started.

Never made it to the master or immortal rule sets.

Forgotten Realms.Where most of my college and years following were spent.

Did a tiny bit of time in Geryhawk, but missed all the crazy that was Hollow World, Planescape
and Dark Sun.

This map would only take... three....maybe four sessions to get through.
Yup 1/4 of a year for us to run this dungeon.

I had and have played all of these.

Never had a chance to try Ghostbusters or even knew it was a game

It was a cool little "museum" and was worth the time looking around.
Plus it was in the middle of Lucas Oil Field.
How cool is that to have nerd history in the middle of an NFL stadium?
As a fan of football and RPG's...very. Very cool.

This was our last stop before heading home that Saturday.
A nice little bookend to two days of gaming, buying, gawking and walking.
