League of Legends is a thing right?

I know very little about this game, but I love me a good animated cinematic.
This my friends is one of those!

Real life interlude. No gaming here.

There comes a time when a person settles down with another person and they both go in on a house.

There are times when said people split and one of them is left with aforementioned house.

There are times when said person with aforementioned house moves out and into another house.

Then this person has two houses upkeep.

I was one of these people.

The last few months it has been a mishmash of work on my previous home to get it on the resale market. A mix of relaxing weekends and days off swapped for home repair and beautification. The good news is that there were not huge glaring fixes that need to be made, but work needed to be done. You know painting, cleaning, flooring, and a last minute water heater replacement. It has been “fun!”

Almost three weeks ago the house was ready and was listed.

Almost three weeks later the place has sold! I did not expect the place to sell for months, or even years!

I am free of that (well barring anything unfortunate that could arise before the official closing) house!

I will soon have only one home to concern myself with and more importantly only one house payment to make. Hell I might actually have some free time on the weekends for shenanigans again instead of working at a home where I no longer reside.

A good feeling. Let’s see how long it lasts.

Dawn of the Plane of the Apes

10 years after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes is where Dawn of the Planet of the Apes starts.

Caesar and his jolly band of intelligent apes have established a city/ commune and even a type of monarchy. They are all happy.

Meanwhile the humans are all dead from the simian flu that was released at the end of the last movie. That is until a group shows up in the forest and of course shoots a wandering chimp out of fear. Now the apes know the humans are still around and the humans know the apes have numbers and can talk. What happens next is the standard mixed messages that lead to action and explosions.

Unremembered Empire review

The galactic warpstorm rages. The Imperium is cut off from itself. Nobody seems to know anything about anything. Yet, there is a light in the darkness and it is Macragge. Go there and be safe. Welcome to the Unremembered Empire.

Unremembered Empire is another Dan Abnett penned Horus Heresy novel. I anticipate it being good, just like all his other stories. Is it as good? I believe it is.

Hordes with the Boy #2

A belated battle report from a Hordes game with my boy, prior to his return home.

Madrak and his remaining warbeasts were tired of running. They had been harried by that feral female warlock long enough. It was time he ended this. Madrak mentally ordered his two impalers to his side and sent his axer into the trees to hopefully outflank the pursuing driud.

Moments later series of howls resonated through the forest. Madrak readied his great axe and his impalers had their spears at the ready. He knew it would only a few moments before the enemy would be upon him.

The boy wanted another game of Hordes so I was happy to oblige. However, he wanted to try the Circle Druid force. Well that was going to make it wyrd. I would have to throw down against my beloved crazy wolf and dog monsters. Still, a change of pace couldn’t hurt.

A fine and final farewell?

I'll start by saying this; Kickstart My Heart is the pinnacle of hair metal! If you can listen to that and not get pumped, punch something, start a fire, kick in a door, blow something up, start pounding beers, jump about all spastic, begin a small riot, etc. then there is something wrong with you!

Saturday nite the special lady and myself trucked over to Noblesville Indiana to see the final tour of Motley Crue. We are both lovers of fine metal (both hair and heavy) and Motley Crue is a shared favorite.
