Sometimes Ebay is awesome. Like when you are looking for a cheaper than store price Swamp Troll light warbeast.
You then bid on it super low and continue on because you found a “Buy it now!” of the same model for super cheap too!
You forget about the bid because it is super low and there are ten days left on the auction. You couldn’t possibly win it so no big deal.
Well then you win it and have a second Swamp Troll warbeast incoming.
Now my special lady has not one, but two stinky swamp monsters added to her Trollblood army.

Last Saturday saw the local pair of intrepid adventures finishing off a minor campaign. It was a pop-up game situation where there was a will to play that day and I had a few notes scrawled down to use as an adventure.
After three games, spaced over many moths, the besieged and occupied town of Stone Keep was finally cleansed. It was your classic town overrun by goblin, orc and the occasion ogre. After a few sorties by the pair of adventures (a thief and fighter) it was time to clear the town.
I did roll up an NPC cleric to tag along for heals. It is difficult to challenge a group that has no healer. One bad combat and the party is skulking back to heal before trying again, with possibly the same result. That or you hand out heal supplies like a shop owner in Diablo II.
The game went as planned with actually no hiccups. They had to find the warboss and drive him out. There was rumor of ogre guarded treasure. The cleric was there to reclaim the temple of his order and cleanse it. All of these bits came to pass. Along the way they stumbled into a goblin shaman with a spell list of shenanigans. They also started a bar fight that would make any 80/early 90's action/ comedy movie proud! A level was gained and treasure was found as well.
I was told it was fun, so that is good enough for me.
This now gives them a base of operations and allows me to begin world building.
I really need to invest in a dry erase mat too for future games. Plus I need to finish the basement toot sweet to get me guys over to properly christen it with a D&D adventure.

What I saw every time time I fielded Terminators on the tabletop. The real outcome was never as impressive.
The trailer is over a year old and yet I just saw it.
Guess I'm behind the times.
Loved the PC version of this and the Playstation (yes that is PS1) version as well.
Damn fine looking trailer and almost has me convinced to try the new version.

TIVO still thinks that it knows what I want to watch. I tend to give the list of suggested recordings a quick once over prior to deleting them. While doing so this time I happened upon a movie called Spiral.
I had no idea what it was about or who was in it, so of course I started watching it.
Here we have this guy Mason. He works for some kind of telesales company. He is pretty introverted and comes off very odd. He loves to paint, sketch and listen to smooth jazz. Mason also has an inhaler to help him when he has these crazy fits of craziness. He has no friends, but his boss a real winner named Berkley keeps tabs on him for some unknown reason.
Get ready for a lot of this.

Well after 100 plus hours of game play it is finally time to finish Fallout 4.
I am sad to stop, because I still haven’t explored every bit of the Commonwealth.
I have stuck to my original plan and bumped my intelligence and charisma to the max. I have stuck to pistols and the occasional explosive device. Having maxed out the gun nut, science and gunslinger perks makes using ballistic or energy handguns just silly good!
I spent a lot of time gathering the various companions and unlicking their perks and running their special quests. Well everyone except Nick valentine. By the time I got to him I just didn’t want to do it anymore. Plus the whole detective noir gumshoe bit I have never found appealing. Searching for bobble heads is always fun. Plus the Salem Witch museum and Dunwich Boers were just incredibly fun locations to explore! Not to mention all the random walking around to stumble upon stuff that I tend to get lost doing when it comes to Fallout games.

New Hordes Farrow warbeast pics from the weekend.
I like the stats and abilities of the Battle Boar. He doesn't look terrible either.
The giant crazy oven on his back is a fun touch. As are the tubes running through his arms and torso.
I will be getting this guy.
The Spaltter Boar on the other hand....I am not a fan.
The right arm looks all akimbo and his mortar doesn't look great either.
However, this guy the gun and battle version of these beasts are an all for one kit by the look of it.
Least that is good. Right?

I had no idea if they could pull this movie off. Sure the trailers looked like it would hit the high points, but I still had concerns.
Then the opening creditscroll started and my concerns were put at peace.
Those concerns were completely squashed! Deadpool was so much damn fun!

This card should cover both events.
The day where couple profess their love through cards and candy.
The day terminally single people abhor.
The day the second half of The Walking Dead season starts.
Please be good.
Please be good.
Please be good.
If not......at least I'll have some heart shaped Reese peanut butter cups to eat

....Best gaming/game weekend ever!
After Saturday running D&D I was able to roll up and play an guy in pre-Super Bowl D&D game. Damn I miss this stuff!
The gang got together to roll up new guys and play a quick adventure.
Our party of three was comprised of a dwarf cleric, a human paladin and my human druid.
Yeah a druid. I have never tried them. There was never a reason to in 2nd or 4th. Now in 5th I thought why not? Plus the only other class I have never tried was a bard, but none of us want to go there.

Have DM Manual will travel reads the card of a man....
The big game this weekend was the Super Bowl, however leading up to it involved RPG stuff both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday the local library was running an intro to D&D 5th edition. I thought it would be a great idea to take my lady’s boy. Sure we have played a few times, but it would not hurt to get him in a group of similar aged kids and a different DM.
There was a descent turn out like thirteen people and I figured no more than like four so good job community for showing up to learn. The ages were 10- adult. Even better! Adults playing with/for their kids.
We had a short chat with the guy running it, Neal, and it was mentioned that me and my lady had played before. She also mentioned that I run have run 5th edition games at home. Well of course that throws me into the position to potentially run a group. I was given a quick overview of the game, the pre-made characters and introduced to the people as Ian the other DM. I was given an older group of players sans one 10-12 year old.
The next three hours was me trying to keep some control over one kid who was everywhere and trying to get two high school kids to actually speak and get more involved in the game. I succeeded in the second role, but could never really reign in the kid who was wanting to do all manner of crazy shit.
The pre-made game went out the window really quick as well. See it was a murder mystery that was more of a role playing adventure and weigh less combat adventure. That is especially bad when the group you have seems to enjoy the combat more. So….thankfully the first mini encounter with some bandits gave me and the group an idea. They wanted to find these bandits that were outside of the town. The town where the murder mystery was taking place.

Years ago these are the Wulfen that were released.
it was all part of the 13th Black Crusade event and they weren't terrible, for that time.
A lot of hair, fangs and claws.
They were part of the lost 13th Company of Space Wolves that came back to fight Abbadon and his goons.
Now they have been re-made and are here again.
The new Wulfen!
Is the guy in the top right corner taking a selfie? Checking his make-up?

At the kick-off I still had reservations. Like I said in my last post I had to have hope. That hope was answered by an amazing defensive performance!
Prevent Offense run by Peyton for the win!
The fact that the league is quarterback friendly and geared toward offense with it's rules set, to have a defensive fueled game was fantastic. Watching Denver ruin the plays of the Panthers every series was just incredible. Take away Peyton's interception and this would have been a complete embarrassment for the Panthers.
Speaking of Peyton, yes he was hurt and bad this season. Yes people threw the fact he needed the defense to win for him.
Then throw in the fact this is a team game and everyone needs everyone else to work together to win.
It is a team game people! Who cares how as long as they all get the job done.
They did just that!
It wasn't pretty on the offensive side, but it was a thing of beauty on the defensive side!
Then Von Miller and the rest of the Denver defense had a lights out night.
What they did to Tom Brady two weeks prior they continued.
Even being held horribly a lot of the game Von Miller was phenomenal!
Seriously how do these not get called.
Even better how does holding him not stop him?
Did he really not try and dive on this ball? Yes that happened.

Usually I'm ecstatic on this day. However this year I'm all a bundle of nerves. It is easier to watch a Super Bowl without you r team in it. Well if your me that is the case. I have seen Denver win two and lose twice that since I've been following football.
Now we have Super Bowl 50. A milestone. A game where Denver has been counted out by basically everybody. I have doubts myself after watching them all season. Carolina is playing fantastic the two weeks prior and Denver was winning, but just.
Monday will either be a day of continued jubilation or another day of gloom after Denver drops their fifth Super Bowl and becomes a bigger joke than the Buffalo Bills.
I imagine if the game gets out of hand I'll head home and just wait for a new episode of the Venture Brothers and watch the commercial spots online.
All I can do today is sit, eat, watch and hope.

I was looking at adding a Blackclad Wayfarer to my forces and what do I see online for next nothing?
An Iron Kingdoms RPG version of Bradigus Thorle. I though why not snatch him up and use him.
It is not as dynamic posed and looks a little derpy in comparison; but for the rock bottom cost this guy will work just fine as a stand in for the standard Blackclad model.
A lot of black, some browns and a smidge of metallic and green. The first Circle models with some brassy gold metal which is the common theme of the studio armies.
The green eyes are supposed to give him a ley line energy look, but I’m not overly fond of it now. I might just go back and cover that all up. …..

Thrall bomb complete.
How can I not like an undead cyborg (zomborg) bomb?
I simply cannot!
I can run six more of these for dirt cheap and might just do that!
Another wonderful gifts from those wacky techs in the necroforges!
Now the necrotech has a little buddy!
Look how cute these guys look together!

Oh the 80’s were a magical movie time for horror. There was a myriad of slashers out there and they ranged from awesome to complete drek.
I have been perusing the back logs of horror I finally got around to some more early 80’s horror that some love/loathe.
Maniac from 1980.
We are introduced to one Frank Zito. He is a schlubby guy who looks equal part big harmless brute and full on creep-o stalker. He has just awoken from a dream about a twin killing on the beach. HE gets up to start his day and we see his tiny one room apartment (if you can call it that). Inside are several mannequins, paintings and a framed picture of what you can guess is his mom.
Red flag right there! Mommy issues!
We see Frank stroll around Times Square and acquire himself a woman of the night. This leads to a hotel room where instead of gentle love making Frank strangles the crap out of here and then scalps here with an adjustable x-acto knife. He returns home to place his new hooker hairpiece on one his mannequins. Frank has not only taken the top of the hooker’s head, but also her wardrobe. He places the clothes on the mannequin as well.
Well we know what Frank is all about now, being a lady killing, scalping and mannequin dressing serial killer.
For the majority of the movie Frank Zito is busy talking to himself, wheezy laughing, stalking his prey, dispatching them and adding new scalps and clothes to his plastic ladies.
