There are only three times during a year where I have a response like this: the Super Bowl, X-mas and when a new season of the Venture Brothers airs!
Season 6 kicks off tonight and I'm spending a chunk of my day binge watching everything up to it.
Plus the weekly shirt club is back and I'll hope that they have some descent stuff like they did last time around.

Had this guy for over a year now and it was time to get him painted.
The Shadowhorn Satyr was not my favorite metal warbeast. The original pose just put me off for some reason.
I turned the torsos a smidgen as well as the forearms. It gives him a less static pose and makes it look like he is starting to throw a punch.

In the dark wilderness of the Iron Kingdoms, an ancient evil stirs. Backed by an army of sinister creatures and terrible beasts, a merciless witch doctor plots to awaken a long-forgotten terror. Should he succeed, countless swamp-dwelling tribes will face a fate worse than death. Now a group of unlikely companions, each a monster in its own right, offers the only hope for the inhabitants of Widower’s Wood.
So now the Hordes side of Immoren gets a action adventure RPG board game. Well it looks like it will be anyway. They are doing a Kickstater for this and I imagine they will meet their goals.
It looks to be like their Undercity Warmachine game, just outside and with monsters/Hordes guys.

Super Bowl 50 is set. I actually have a dog in this fight this year as Denver makes it to the big show.
A Denver/Patriots showdown again that everyone is tired of hearing about or loves I’m not sure which. It was a trying game to watch at best. Watching a descent offensive first half to then witness a beyond anemic second half. The defense was amazing until it wasn’t much like the entire season. A few bad penalties and few big plays kept the Patriots in the game and brought it to the wire. I walked away from the game with a lack of fingernails, at least one ulcer and numerous grey hairs. So Denver goers to its eight Super Bowl with a horrible record of 2-5.
They are playing the Carolina Panthers who looked so amazing in their championship game Sunday night. We it helped that Arizona turned it over seven times. Even without those mistakes I think the Panthers still would have won, maybe not by as much but whateves. I have only watched three Carolina games all season and the Sunday championship was a definite exception to the rule. Who loses a game when given seven turnovers? Well nobody. The two previous games I watch them they look good, but not unstoppable. Hell they almost blew a giant lead the week previous to Seattle.
I think if the Broncos get behind the game is easily over. If they turn it over they will lose. If the defense plays heads up and mistake free for the majority of the game and the offense can get a couple touchdowns/ various field goals then they might just win. Might. It is hard to stay super positive and pumped when we spot the Patriots a non-forward pass touchdown and let Gronk catch a seam route (like he does every stupid week) late game to set up a two point conversion tying touchdown. I am apprehensive at best going into Super Bowl 50.
A game where my team is already the underdog, has a great (at times but makes dumb mistakes at times) defense and has (an stitched together) one of the greatest ever quarterbacks ; but is facing the new hotness in the super smiley, happy and damn good this year Cam Newton.
An awesome night or another long tedious exercise in pain. Oh to be a Broncos fan and in the Super Bowl again.
A love/hate experience for sure.

I really like the fact that Privateer Press does a few errata documents every year. They seem to keep abreast of the game and when they give something that becomes too powerful they adjust it accordingly.
Of course this forces cries of nerf, unfair and all sorts of interweb rage/crying. However, if you find the power combo and exploit the crap out of it and so does everyone else, then it is going to get an eventual fix.
There are some other changes that actually look descent.

I was curious about Jupiter Ascending when it came out, but for some unknown reason I passed on it. I’ll assume it was some kind of spider sense.
Now I have finally sat down and viewed this and you know what?! Jupiter Ascending is a completely original and unoriginal film.
The story plays out like this.
Alright the universe is full of planets with life. There is a space royal family that divides up these planets. They then harvest the lifeforms from the planets to make life regenerating goo, so they can stay young. Plus their mom is dead. On Earth there is a girl named Jupiter who is a house cleaner and somehow the genetic reincarnation of the space royal family’s dead mom. Now an ex-space soldier, who is part wolf (SPACE WOLF!) is sent to grab Jupiter because she has stumbled upon the truth about aliens. We meet Sean Bean who is an ex-space cop soldier living on Earth and he is part honeybee (but looks completely normal) for some reason. Well there is a bit about splicing genes to make better space cop/soldiers, but whatever. There are some action scenes with some alien ships, explosions, flying boots, laser shields, some bounty hunters and Jupiter falling off stuff a lot. Eventually the royal space family gets hold of Jupiter and she learns that she is their not space mom. She learns about the life for youth goo planetary scheme and also that she owns Earth and its subsidiaries. Now she decides to marry one of the royal family to protect Earth, but that means mom is marrying son or some sort of quasi- space incest. Of course this is a scheme to marry and kill Jupiter to gain control of Earth youth goo harvest rights. Then space wolf soldier/cop and Sean “honey bee” Bean have to fly space suits through a wave of not asteroids to save Jupiter and then fail only to try and save her again in the final act.
After she has been captured by the evil space royal family son and taken to the youth goo refinery on Jupiter.
Yeah it is this awesome all the time!

The new D&D
Dwarfs and Dragons
So how does this guy ever swing at anything with his weapons way up there?
What the in the nine Hells is this about?
Dwarf riding dragons? On paper that sounds cool right?
"You can count on my axe-staff-spear!"
Personally I find a lot wrong with this idea,
Seriously a dwarf riding a dragon just feels like some awful fanboy wet dream.
I usually like the big G.W. fantasy kits. In this case I kind of hate them.

I finally decided to nab a could boxes of these Axis Zombies from the Dust Tactics game. I am hoping they make for good stand in Mechanithralls.
I'm not a fan of the poses for these guys. Well the Brute Thralls are stellar, but the little guys static poses I find really meh!.

Lemmy, David bowie, Angus Scrimm and now Alan Rickman!?
Who doesn’t love this guy? Nobody.
What has he been bad in? Nothing.
What has he been great in? Everything.
Marvin the Paranoid Android’s voice.
Ronald Regan. (Yeah he played him. I couldn’t believe it either.)
The only good part of Robin Hood with Kevin Costner.
Why him and not a terrible person or a really shitty actor instead?!
Damn it famous people I like stop dying! It makes me super sad and takes away the only good parts of this reality.

We this guy is done.
A legless undead mechanic on little mechanical spider legs! What isn’t there for me to like here? Big fan of the model!
Nothing to crazy just for color. A few bits of unhealthy fleshy and brown skin, some metals, a bit more wash and a splash of green.
Need put the finishing touches on his associated zombie bomb and then they are ready for action.

First Lemmy and now this?!
David Bowie and Angus Scrimm have both passed this weekend.
Holy crap snacks!
David Bowie and Angus Scrimm have both passed this weekend.
Holy crap snacks!
His music, costumes, look, his roles as the Goblin King, Tesla, his cameo in Zoolanader or the numerous Venture Brothers references; what wasn't there to like about David Bowie?
What didn't this guy do? If they wrote Chuck Norris jokes about music, they would all be about David Bowie. The dude just put out his 25th album and was 69! His body of work is all over the place and pretty damn amazing!
Then there was the news that Angus Scrimm has passed as well.

Every incarnation of Fallout alloys you to create a different character. After that you can take a ton of different directions.
You want a brute then up your strength and endurance to last in close combat.
A wasteland thief, then stealth, lock picking, agility and luck are your buddies.
A gun bunny means a lot of agility.
A sniper then add to your perception.
The detective means a lot of intelligence and perception.
The diplomat has a ton of charisma and intelligence.
These are just sample ideas off the top of my noodle. There is no wrong way to play your character at all. Even better is the choices for builds are just insane.
I usually fall into a mix of sniper and gun bunny. I love me some long range shooting or being able to unleash a torrent of doom at midrange on anyone who makes it close to me. The long rife and the combat shotgun have always been my friends. It has always been shoot first, second, third and then there are no questions to ask later. Who has time to gab?
Enter my guy Post Apoc Pete.

Now over a week into Fallout 4 and I have accomplished so much and so little at the same time.
Holy crap snacks! This game is more of a time suck than I thought. An awesome time suck!
Fallout 4 takes place on the East coast in and around Boston. It is just a stone’s throw away from the events of Fallout 3. The story is very different than the previous game. Well, besides the fact you crawl out of a vault and get thrown into a world of problems. It is a very similar premise from the Fallout series, but it is still different and of course awesome!

The regular season has ended. I would love to say it was a great year, but it really wasn’t.
The officiating is always an issue, but this year it just seemed fraking awful! There are always missed calls or bad calls in a game. This year it seemed these were happening every game. Is there anything that can be done? I don’t think so. Well besides changing some of the dumber rules ( what is a catch, touching the QB anywhere besides the strike zone etc.). The officiating made a lot of the games tedious and/or frustrating to watch.
